SUPERLUMINAL is a motion design and film boutique based in Los Angeles. At the heart of it lies a deep passion for storytelling through striking, emotive imagery. Our purpose and mission is to discover what the words "cinema" and "cinematic" mean in the modern world of dominant social media and TV content. We aim to create images that leave an imprint.
SUPERLUMINAL is a group of companies located at the intersection of entertainment and technology. We pursue moonshot goals and move fast.
Here are our current projects:
° LAYER ZERO: a low power, low cost sensor networking company. Built on an open source Lorawan network, we are designing a product for cheap, intuitive and low energy GPS tracking solution. The product consists of a hardware GPS sensor and a software web panel and mobile app. The GPS tracker has a slim profile, a battery that lasts for months and no upfront costs, with only a $10 monthly subscription with no purchase cost and no data charges. Remarkably, the GPS tracker does not use traditional networks such as 4G/LTE/5G to relay positioning data.
° POLYHUMANS: a digihuman startup that makes plug and play photorealistic human models ready for animation and games. With the advancement of animation technology, motion capture and game engines, we enter a time when photo realistic digital humans become a reality. Polyhumans aims to bring accessibility to high level digital characters previously feasible only to Hollywood studios and AAA game companies. With our library of digital humans anyone will have the ability to achieve photo realistic results at 1/10 of the cost of traditional custom facial rigs.
° METAGALLERY: A new approach to exhibiting digital art in traditional gallery settings. Modern art is morphing with technology products. METAGALLERY focuses on collecting a premiere selection of NFTs from the world's leading motion design artists and exhibiting them in unparalleled resolution and quality. The mission of METAGALLERY is bringing the Meta- worlds into physical reality and providing a platform for moving CGI pieces. We open Winter 2021.
